My family and I live in a townhouse so obviously we can’t make a small garden in the front or back yards, since we don’t have either of those. We only own the inside of the townhouse. I love gardening, yet unfortunately I can’t do it. Yet all residents in our complex can have a small window box garden. During the summer and fall seasons I like to walk around the neighborhood for exercise. As I make my rounds, I saw their beautiful window boxes full of flowers and I was so envious. I wanted to have one myself. I have loved flowers and plants since I was small. My mom used to have a garden around our house in the Philippines. I was the one who helped with watering the plants and was so happy to see them blooming. Since I came here to the United States, I have not been able to do this because we don’t have space for gardening.
